Concept by She Thrives

RANIBrow Art

Prepared for Rani Brow Art

What it would cost.

One price, no surprises, and no charge for the concept you have already seen.

The build

$1,000

One time. Half to start, half when it goes live.

  • A web address of your own, set up for you, so there is finally one place to send people
  • The whole studio in one place: threading, tint and henna, the $14.99 you publish yourself, and the $55+ membership
  • A line in the first screen that reads the clock in Smyrna and says whether the door is open right now
  • A chair held in two taps, where somebody picks a service and a time and the message writes itself to your number
  • Your own photographs of your own work, shown at a size that does them justice
  • Built for a phone first, because that is where almost everyone will find you
  • A security certificate that renews itself, so no browser ever warns anybody away
  • Set up so Google can show your hours, your address and your directions under your own name
  • One link that finally works in your Instagram bio, and one address short enough to say out loud
  • Yours outright, with no monthly fee attached to the build

Care plan, optional

$50 a month

Or $500 a year if you would rather pay once.

  • Hosting, the domain and the security certificate handled and renewed
  • Backups, and monitoring so you know the site is up
  • Prices and hours changed the day they change, holiday closings included
  • New photographs of your work added as you take them
  • Thirty minutes a month of other changes
  • A check-in every quarter
  • No contract. Stop any time

If you would rather not have one, that is completely fine. The site is still yours and it still works. You would just look after the hosting and the changes yourself, and what that involves is laid out right below.

Worth understanding either way

What changing one thing actually takes

The care plan is optional and it stays optional. Before you decide, here is a price going up, which is the change your site will need most often.

{
  name: "Eyebrow threading",
  line: "Perfect shape, every time",
  price: "$14.99",
  icon: "brow",
},
  1. Set up the project on your computer
  2. Find the right file
  3. Edit it without breaking the syntax
  4. Run it locally to check
  5. Commit and push
  6. Wait for the deploy, then check it live

The accounts come to about $20 a month, and I would sooner say so plainly. What costs is that those six steps happen every single time, and a freelance developer in the States charges $50 to $150 an hour for them, around $85 in the middle. The half hour a month in the plan is worth about $42 on its own. Twenty plus forty-two is sixty-two a month, against a plan that costs fifty, and that is before backups, uptime, or a renewal nobody remembers until the site goes dark.

Somebody else is already publishing a price for your threading and it is the wrong one, on a page you have no way to edit. On your own site that is one line, and I change it the day you tell me. That is what the fifty is for. Run it yourself instead and I will hand over every account and walk whoever takes it through all six of those steps.

The accounts and what each one costs
  • Hosting, Vercel Pro

Their free tier is for personal, non-commercial projects, so a business needs the paid one.

    $20 a month

  • Code repository, GitHub Free

Free for one person, genuinely, with unlimited private repositories.

    Nothing

  • Security certificate

Issued and renewed automatically every ninety days.

    Nothing

  • The domain

The one bill you do not have yet, and it is the small one.

    Under $20 a year

How it goes

Four steps, about two weeks.

  1. 1

You say go, and you tell me what you want the site to be called. I checked on 2 August 2026 and ranibrowart.com is sitting there unregistered. I will take it that day, in your name.

  2. 2

You send me photographs of your own work, whatever you would want somebody new to see first. That is the part I need from you, and it is the part that holds everything else up.

  3. 3

I build it out, drop the real photographs in, and point the name at it.

  4. 4

You look at it on your own phone and tell me what to change. Nothing you have now goes away while we do this.

The terms

Simple, and yours.

You own all of it
The site, the code, the photographs, the words. If you ever want to take it somewhere else or hand it to somebody else, you can, and I will help you do it.
The domain is yours
I register it for the studio and handle the technical side, which is the part that eats an afternoon. It is the studio's name and the studio's address, and if you ever want it moved somewhere else, I will move it for you.
No lock-in
The care plan is month to month and optional. Nothing about the build depends on you keeping it.
Facebook and Instagram keep working
The site sits underneath them and gives them somewhere to point. You carry on posting exactly as you do now.
The concept is free
What you have been clicking through cost you nothing and comes with no obligation, whatever you decide.

A note from Kate

You have built a studio that people come back to and tell their friends about, out of a suite on Rock Springs Road, with word of mouth doing the work. That is the hard part, and it is already done.

Everything the studio has online belongs to somebody else. Facebook holds your hours inside a post from 2024. Yelp puts advertisements for other studios on the page about you. Nine more sites have written their own version of who you are, and not one of them ever asked.

A site of your own is one address you can print on a card, put in the window and say out loud. It carries your prices, your hours, your photographs and your words, and it stays exactly the way you left it.

Click through the concept and pick it apart. If it is not the direction you want, tell me and I will not be offended.
